University of Colorado system presidential finalists ranged political, business, higher ed fields

Daily Camera (Boulder): Finalists for University of Colorado system president brought a variety of business, political and higher education experience to the table, but most of them — including now President Mark Kennedy — did not have previous experience leading a university system the size of CU.

The application materials for the five finalists, ranging from 15 – 45 pages long, offer a detailed look into the professional lives of those considered to lead CU and their views on leadership, transparency and higher education.

CU’s Board of Regents has had the documents for more than a year, but, with the exception of Kennedy’s application, only released the application materials for four of the other five finalists on April 10 as a result of a district court ruling in a lawsuit filed by the Daily Camera.
