Former Florence-Penrose School District bus driver sentenced, but judge seals all information

Cañon City Daily Record: Sentencing in the criminal case involving a former Florence-Penrose School District bus driver who allegedly slapped a student last spring has been completed, but a judge has sealed all of the information, including the outcome.

Bertram Arman Jaquez, 63, was arrested May 19, after he was accused of slapping a child for not wearing a mask properly. Video of the altercation has circulated via various social media platforms since the event.

Jaquez originally was facing charges of child abuse causing injury, third-degree assault and harassment.
