Thornton City Council members look at new conduct rules for themselves and for a sometimes heated public

Northglenn Thornton Sentinel: Thornton City Council Tuesday night wrestled over potentially stricter policies aimed at the actions of council members and the public who speak during meetings.

No official action was taken during a lengthy planning session and no formal vote is likely until this spring.

 But the proposed changes sparked plenty of debate over how much authority should council members have over each other and the residents who express their thoughts – sometimes angrily – before the council.
