Loveland tentatively agrees to settlement in city manager lawsuit

Loveland Reporter-Herald: An independent journalist who sued Loveland City Manager Steve Adams over an alleged physical altercation could be getting a six-figure payout in the case, if City Council approves a tentative settlement agreement on Tuesday.

According to terms of the agreement, which are included in City Council’s agenda packet, the city will issue a check to Fort Collins resident Stacy Lynne for $110,000, in exchange for dismissing the lawsuit and releasing Adams and the city from all future claims related to the matter.

The settlement was reached after a mediation session held last week through Honorable Susan L. Macey of Judicial Arbiter Group, Inc. The city also agreed to pay the full cost of mediation as part of the settlement, an estimated $35,756.97.
