Loveland resident files open meetings lawsuit over Centerra South

Loveland Reporter-Herald: Even though Loveland City Council reversed its May 2 vote on Centerra South, one Loveland resident is still hoping to see it overturned by a higher power.

Last week, Bill Jensen filed a complaint for injunctive relief with the 8th Judicial District, alleging that City Council’s original decision to approve the controversial urban renewal plan should be invalidated by the court due to violations of Colorado’s open meeting law.

“It’s a grotesque abuse of trust,” Jensen said. “…If you formulate public policy in secret, it’s invalid.”
