Loveland fumbled executive sessions, aired confidential meetings in May and June

Reporter-Herald (Loveland): The city of Loveland publicly aired two executive sessions during its May 19 and June 2 City Council meetings, the Reporter-Herald has discovered.

An executive session is a private conference that can take place during an otherwise public meeting of a government body such as a city council.

Colorado statutes allow a council to call for an executive session under certain specific circumstances, such as when it plans to advise staff members on negotiations, and particularly those negotiations concerning real estate.
