The Fort Morgan Times: Jack Darnell, a three-term Fort Morgan mayor, has filed an open records complaint against the entity he once headed as an elected official.

City of Fort Morgan officials have declined to release to Darnell an unredacted copy of Investigator Elizabeth Rita’s report and materials gathered during a process in summer 2022 of examining the behavior and conduct of Mayor Lyn Deal and her alleged meddling by then City Manager Steve Glammeyer. He claimed she had created a hostile work environment.

“I’m not here to defend the mayor, she can defend herself,” Darnell said, when contacted by The Fort Morgan Times to discuss the legal complaint. “I’m here to fix the culture at City Hall and improve our government.”
