9NEWS: An Evergreen High School parent who spent months pushing Jefferson County authorities to release investigative documents from last September’s school shooting said the 654 pages he received last week provided meaningful insight — but left some questions unanswered.
Michael Farrell, whose son is a sophomore at Evergreen High School, said reading through the newly released documents was emotionally difficult but ultimately important for his understanding of the Sept. 10 shooting.
“It did bring back a lot of emotions from that day,” Farrell said. “You start to kind of heal from it and move past it a little bit, and it really was kind of ripping the band-aid off again.”
