Erie town board members raise concerns over consultant selection process for comprehensive plan update

Colorado Hometown Weekly: The selection process to hire a consultant to update Erie’s comprehensive plan has come under question after a few members of the town board claimed that Mayor Jennifer Carroll acted unethically during the proceedings.

Trustee Christiaan van Woudenberg said that the mayor had special access to scores from the voting process and used this to an advantage to influence her preferred outcome.

But Erie Town Administrator Malcolm Fleming said that since the process was not a bid request but a request for proposal, all responses are open for review by town staff, the planning commission and the public.
