The Colorado Sun: When Colorado-based Dominion Voting Systems filed a $1.6 billion lawsuit against Fox News in 2021 for lying about the performance of the company’s voting machines in the 2020 presidential election, it had a lot to prove. Libel and defamation cases are notoriously challenging because the law requires solid evidence that the publisher knowingly, maliciously deceived the public.

It’s a high bar. But Dominion had the legs to clear it.

In a deposition, Fox Chair Rupert Murdoch testified that he believed the election was “not stolen” even though his network was hammering away with that message day after day after day.
