Larimer County judge schedules evidentiary hearing in petition for CORA release of messages sent by Loveland council member

Loveland Reporter-Herald: An 8th Judicial District Court judge approved and scheduled an evidentiary hearing in a case regarding messages sent between a Loveland City Council member and a city official.

Loveland Mayor Jacki Marsh as well as Deputy City Attorney Vince Junglas, joined by Assistant City Attorney Noah Cecil, appeared before Judge Juan Villaseñor on Friday morning for a status conference on a filed petition aimed at deciding whether certain messages sent by Loveland City Councilor and Mayor Pro Tem Don Overcash can be released under the Colorado Open Records Act.

After the nearly hour-long hearing that grew tense as the deputy city attorney and Villaseñor went back and forth, Villaseñor scheduled an evidentiary hearing later in March to decide how to proceed.
