Colorado Community Media: As they have repeatedly, citizens lambasted the Thornton City Council during the Oct. 10 public comment portion of its meeting, a session that culminated with the arrest of a local political activist. 

For the second time in less than a month, Dariush Namazi refused to leave the speaker’s podium after his allotted three minutes of speaking time elapsed — prompting another meeting shutdown.

Namazi said this week that repeated requests to the city attorney and other staff to talk about grievances he has with the city have been ignored.
