MSU Denver’s student government violates Colorado law

MetMedia: In multiple sessions that broke Colorado Open Meeting and Sunshine Laws, MSU Denver’s student government held meetings last summer and this fall where budget, co-chair elections and weekly meeting times were decided.

Colorado requires timely notice and an advance agenda before two or more members of a state public body gather to discuss public business.

The council has a history of breaking sunshine law previously, including not meeting parts of open meeting laws such as posting agendas in advance and making meeting minutes available to the public.
