Metro student government responds to open meeting violations

MetMedia: After nearly half a dozen times of trying to reach members and advisers of Metropolitan State University of Denver’s Student Government: The Student Advocacy Council, The Metropolitan received a response to emailed questions on Sept. 26.

The following questions were posed to the advisers to TSAC, Cynthia Baron and Armando Rijo as well as the social media and website committee chair, Chad Gouge, and the Co-Chairs, Dan Giles and Paul Nelson.

“What training has the advisers offered the council in the last year? Has it included training on Open Meeting and Colorado Sunshine Law? If so, when? If not, why? Do you see it as your role as an adviser to make sure that the incoming student are aware of and are following Open Meeting and Sunshine Law?”
