Loveland resident issues plea to City Council in open meetings case

Loveland Reporter-Herald: Loveland resident Vi Wickam is frustrated by the worsening division on Loveland City Council and is speaking out about it. On Friday, he issued an open letter calling on the five majority members to end the prosecution of four other members and focus on other pressing city issues.

“This dispute only amplifies the current divisions on our City Council,” Wickam’s letter reads in part. “It sows distrust among council members, encourages strife within our Loveland community and discourages the necessary dialogue and collaboration that we deserve from our elected officials.”

Wickham, who is a member of the city’s citizens financial advisory commission and former City Council candidate, is also seeking signatures on his letter from like-minded residents who might not feel like they have a voice on the issue.
