Limits on campaign giving to be extended to school boards

The Daily Sentinel: Candidates for school boards would have to adhere to the same campaign finance limits as all other county candidates under a bill approved in the Colorado House on Thursday.

House Bill 1066, introduced by Rep. Emily Sirota, D-Denver, sets those contribution limits the same as for all other county races, such as commissioners, clerks and treasurers.

Like them, school board candidates would not be able to accept more than $2,500 from individual donors or $25,000 from small donor committees.
