Lafayette City Council OKs quasi-judicial hearings during electronic meetings

Colorado Hometown Weekly: Lafayette City Council this week unanimously approved a resolution amending the city’s handbook to allow for quasi-judicial matters to be considered during electronic meetings.

The resolution passed Tuesday puts procedures into effect for executive sessions to ensure privacy and confidentiality, and only allows for such matters to be discussed electronically when there is a local disaster emergency affecting the city.

City Attorney Mary Lynn Macsalka said the electronic hearings will be optional for applicants.
