The Daily Sentinel: Last week, we asked if Mesa County commissioners could sink any lower in their lust to get the public health director fired.
The answer is “yes” — for at least one commissioner, Janet Rowland.
Rowland, with the aid of County Attorney Todd Starr, stooped to new depths in Monday’s kangaroo court proceedings masking as a meeting of the newly installed public health board.
During that meeting, Starr clearly accused The Daily Sentinel and reporter Charles Ashby of criminal conduct.
The bulk of the meeting involved a one-sided presentation by Starr attacking Dr. Jeff Kuhr in his role as director of Mesa County Public Health. But not before Starr tried to smear Ashby for doing his job.
