Editorial: Journalist’s removal from GOP event speaks to political divisiveness that must end

Boulder Daily Camera: Early this month, the Colorado Republican Party had law enforcement remove a journalist from its state assembly. 

That fact alone should spark ire. 

But the details of the removal of Colorado Sun reporter Sandra Fish — and all the backlash that has followed — are indicative of an even more troubling trend in our political discourse. 

Fish, who has covered politics since 1982, got wind that her reporting had ruffled some feathers and that her press credentials for the GOP assembly in Pueblo might be rescinded. But it wasn’t until early on the morning of the event that she finally heard that she would not be welcome because “the state chairman believes current reporting to be very unfair.
