Editorial: HB 1051 would shroud public entities’ hiring decisions in secrecy, erode public confidence

Fort Morgan Times: The Morgan County School District Re-3 Board of Education will be selecting a new superintendent for the district yet this spring.

When that happens, the community should be able to be confident that the person the school board selects is the best person for the job from the pool of available candidates.

But a bill making its way through the legislature right now could erode confidence in future such hiring decisions, by hiding who is actually being considered for the position.
