The Daily Sentinel: An article circulating on the internet claiming Grand Junction is the most dangerous city in Colorado is false, according to Mesa County officials.

“We are not the least safe city in the state. Not even close,” Mesa County District Attorney Dan Rubinstein said in an email.

Rubinstein said data from the Colorado Bureau of Investigation, which collects data from local law enforcement agencies, contradicts the article.

The article, titled “10 Most Dangerous Cities In Colorado 2023: Exploring the Dark Side,” was published on SouthwestJournal.com.
