Jeffco Schools posts superintendent contract online

From The Denver Post:  After cries from the community that the draft contract for Jefferson County Schools’ superintendent finalist Daniel McMinimee be made public, the district posted a copy of the document on its website Wednesday afternoon.

The school board will also allow time for public comment at a special meeting scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Tuesday — another demand that teachers and parentshad made via dozens of emails this week.

But because of the anticipated high number of people expected to take to the microphone, the total amount of public comment will be limited to 45 minutes. Each speaker will be limited to one minute and each group will be limited to three minutes.

According to the draft of McMinimee’s contract, he would be employed for a five-year period starting July 1, with opportunity for renewal in the future. His annual salary would be $280,000.
