From the Daily Camera (Boulder): Boulder voters will see three city issues on their November ballot: a three-year, 0.3 percent sales tax for “community, culture and safety,” executive session authority limited to the creation of a city electric utility, and public broadband authority.
The Boulder City Council voted unanimously to move forward all three ballot measures Tuesday night. A final vote is scheduled for Aug. 19.
The City Council also set the ballot order, with the tax going first, as required by Colorado’s Taxpayer Bill of Rights, and broadband authority going last to make it more likely that people will vote their entire ballot, due to the high level of interest in the broadband authority.
